It is like the trail of tears where about 100,000 people were removed from their homeland to Oklahoma. On the way approximately 15,000 died. There are other instances of removing native Americans from their homelands and the US has practice in ethnic cleansing. Perhaps that's why America was chosen to participate in this.
For a conquered people,nobody has been treated better......perfect?,far from it....my wife is full blood Acoma-Pueblo,she thinks the Government moved them out there too,never mind they have been there for over 600 years or so....we didn't need New Mexico so they got left alone......again,don't get me wrong,the "Trail of Tears" was awful,but still better than annihilation.
